Valencia (Spain)

During 5 years (2000-2005) the City of Arts and Sciences, Valencia, exhibited two unique collections that combined gemology and art.
The exhibition “200,000 Carats” (the name was chosen by the direction of the museum, although there were 103,064.99 carats displayed) was the largest exhibition of cut precious stones in Europe. A special place occupied wonderful diamonds of all colors, beautiful emeralds , opals, rubies, sapphires, tourmalines, aquamarines, topazes, pearls, heliodors, citrines, amethysts, garnets, hiddenites, kunzites and so on.

As well, there were presented a magnificent display of more than 200 carvings and sculptures from all around the world, carried out in emeralds, rubies, jades, ivory, aquamarines and other gems.
